Game 45: Giants at Pirates

The Gerrit Cole Era begins tonight, with Cole making his debut against the Freak at seven. Prepare to be entertained.

Many questions about Cole remain, not the least of which is whether young Gerrit can gently yet firmly make contact with his bat on a baseball, driving the baseball into the infield grass while advancing a base runner from station to station.

AJ needs to be sure and take young Cole under his wing and tell him about how to avoid self injury while BUNTing, the most important skill of all.

  2. I would be alright with Cole learning how to bunt out somebody else's eye. Hi-ya, take that

I liked the kids post-game interview. Beer Fort worthy, possibly.

G-Slaw had a lot of horseradish tonight even in the bat.

What's this I hear of Hurdle now ignoring pitch counts???

Blasphemy, we may now have arms falling off at 101 pitches.

  8. WOW - entertained by Stone Cole Lampin's gas and curve. He failed to get the bunt down, but a two-run single - better yet! Needs some more practice with the Zoltan.
