Game 48: Dodgers at Pirates

The Brandon Cumpton Era starts today against Kershaw and the hapless Dodgers. Cumpton has a strong pedigree, successfully bunting in every third plate appearance for Altoona last year.

The Dodgers start Juan Uribe at 3B, and the Bucs counter with Inge batting 8th starting in RF. Are you not entertained?

  1. Inge has negative Upside.
    Inge's .202/.233/.229 < Barmes's .198/.231/.265. Clint Barmes for RF!

  2. Cumpton strikes out the side! Entertained.

  3. Anonymous4:13 PM

    Strikes out the side, NBD.

    Iowa Pirate

  4. Squeeze would bring Presley home here.

  5. Bones4:30 PM

I'd be entertained if Cumpton struck out 27.

  6. Travis4:32 PM

Very UnEntertained by BUNTing Presley to 3rd to leadoff game.

Dodgers of course then pitch around Cutch to set up inning ending double play.

Martin obliges with a Taylor Made inning ending GIDP and Ramirez LUCKILY boots an easy GIDP to end the inning.

Can someone please explain this to my small mind????????????

  7. Travis4:37 PM

    And while I'm at it...

I would like to request Presley for the everyday RF/Catcher/2B/SS position.

Then he and Clemarte alternate at Leadoff and #2 in batting order depending on pitching matchups so Presley can hit his 15 to 20HRs per year.

If Presley should fail in this task, then NH needs to acquire another OF bat at the deadline.

  8. Bones4:43 PM

Bunting in the first helps soften up the Infield Grass for later inning bunts. Hard to question the fundamental stuff like this.

This team isn't big enough for two Brandons. Inge mastering the art of flying out to the warning track. KKKKKumpton making history.

  9. Bones4:50 PM

Ruins the perfect game by walking the pitcher, damn. No hitter still on though.

  10. Anonymous7:22 PM

    Bickle stands up!

    Iowa Pirate

  11. Porn Star strikes out side in first, Travis picks up the Senator, Levya leaves ya, Reds blanked, Cards continue tour of AA. This was some Saturday.

  12. Travis11:42 PM

Bickle wins the crowd yet again with another clutch performance off the bench.

Bickle further solidifying 90% of MLB Scouts projection last year when he was acquired that he is a 4th OF, no more, no less.
