Game 144: Pirates at Rangers

Martin Perez and Francisco Liriano tonight at eight in another World Series preview. The winning Bucs are one game back of the Cards, who host the Brewers.

  1. No more obnoxious articles about 'the last time Pirates were winners...' The laziest article ever written.

  2. Maybe this interleague late in the season is good for the Bucs? Maybe these red-and-blue strangers in a strange land with their empty upper deck and drug-free outfield are the answer to getting Descalsoed and watching jarhead Holliday lace his stupid singles to right field and Lance Lynn's alliteration or Phillips' mouth in Cincy or MetroSexual Latos and Shoplifter Leake or moody Joey Votto? Sometimes you need a Leonys Martin or a Neal Cotts or even a Jurickson Profar staring at you from the other dugout. Familiarity breeds contempt? Go get them _________ Liriano!

    1. Maybe he can go on Twitter after the game and explain:
      a) Why he didn't move up to third on the infield grounder when the third baseman had committed to fielding it near the mound
      2) Why he grabbed the power bunt that was obviously rolling foul along the third base line which he turned into an IF hit.
      c) Why he did not slide into home on the play that was way closer than it should have been, resulting in him missing the plate in favor of AJ EveryoneHatesMeSki's foot.
Oh, but he only has 140 characters....

More concerned with his Fist Pump which should get him ear holed if he plays tomorrow. Kid has some growing up to do.

    3. Seriously - awful night for Tony Sanchez's brain. Makes me want to watch the ungainly John Buck LaRoche squat awkwardly donning tools of ignorance.

    4. He can be Farnsworth's official catcher then. Iron Balls should have left him some humble pie in the locker.

Tony did not Go About His Business in the Right Way. At all. Farnsworth could help him grow up real quick.

Whoa, these American Circuit teams can't defend the Infield Grass Assault onslaught.

  6. Jordy doing everything EXCEPT serving O'Douls to ex-Prez GW Bush in the front row....

Sadly, Jordy will now go back to the bench after this game.

  8. So Morneau finally sits against a LHP and the Bucs WIN!? Funny how those split things work. Nice to see the Shark Tank get in their much needed regression without giving up the victory. Please no more Brian Morris getting loose in close games.
