Game 116: Pirates at Rockies

Burnett and Nicasio at eight.

Rox start the game with the oxygen masks in the dugout, the better to recover from all that running the bases.

Meanwhile the over/under on first-inning errors behind Burnett is 1 1/2.

Glad to see J Hay stepping into the RF/3B/2B/Back Inning Relief Pitcher role rather nicely.

This role will be the most valuable heading into the playoffs.

I'd be entertained if they let J-Hay attempt a triple bypass surgery or sing the national anthem. Or better yet, both at the same time (while still playing RF/3B/2B/RP of course).

  3. Didn't Keith Osik pitch once? I saw my old Giles jersey in the mirror and it gave me a redrum scare because it read SELIG! Beer Fort has Big Wheel escape fleet to Overlook room 237 out there in the Colorado wilds occupied by pigskin broadcaster and SUPREME milquetoast Chris Fowler.

  4. Cards and Reds both lose, would be good night to WIN. Entertained by Cutch racing around the basepaths. Get that man some oxygen.

  5. 1.5 was also the over/under on run support for pie guy.

Rockies TV announcers texted question of who best CF in NL is, and much too long discussion ensues. After a few minutes they settle upon Cutch but one points out that Dexter would be right up there, had he not gotten injured so many times.

GFJ triple! He picks up a bus and throws it back down!

Brown and Wehner reliving the Hermenson Era, epic. Diagnosis, too much coaching.
