As Joe Rutter reports, Spin Williams tried a joke on Wells' uniform number to motivate the man to throw more strikes and get more quick outs. It didn't work. Wells has been much too inefficient on the mound this year. Sounds like the coaching staff is all over it. If they can fix Oliver Perez, I'm sure they can fix Kip Wells.
