NLDS Game 1: Pirates at Cardinals

The St. Louis team was hoping to slip this one in while no one was paying attention -- the game is scheduled to start at 5 pm our time -- but I highly doubt that is going to work. My guess is the Pirates will be there on time, bringing the lumber.

And we were up all night with the dwarves, tending the fires beneath the boiling cauldrons of edible barnyard animals. Beer Fort is ready. Redshirts will step away from the portcullis.

AJFB and Wainwright to start.

The PBC shadow managment at the plate and in the field is subpar so far.

    Cards stealing signs.

GIDP management is overpar so far.

Huge GIDP there. AJFB oddly cool and not screaming and barking at everyone. Yet.

Ugh. Walking the pitcher to start the inning. That should get AJFB pissed off.

    That's gonna leave a mark.

To overstate the obvious, it is time for the hook and bullpen management.

    Good time for a HBP.

I really hope I don't think of Hurdle exactly how I do Jim Leyland.

He is quickly on his way to that.

AJ all over the place. Get Jeanmar up.

    Really Hurdle??? Really???

Open the bullpen door, please, Clint.

    Ready to see Jeanmar's face.

Wonder what emotional hunch Hurdle is going to have next?

He just Jim Leylanded himself to me.

For f's sake GET AJ OFF THE MOUND!!! Unbelievable Clint leaves him in to face Freese.

If Hurdle keeps this up, this will be a quick and painless series at least.

    This game is over.

Nobody saw that coming. Damn it, Clint, jackassery loses playoff games.

    Rout is on.

Now actually, it is time to leave AJ in for the entire pistol whipping.

    Why burn the bullpen now?????

  28. Travis6:21 PM

    Get Stan Belinda up...

    Burton Baton making it better.

Bucs would probably be hitting .450 with RISP too if they too were pumped full of PEDs.

    Petey starts the comeback.

  35. Bones6:54 PM

OK, why in the hell did Jeanmar just bat for himself?

Adams caught that like it was a hotdog.

Why aren't they showing the Southern Comfort commercial in its entirety, like Tuesday.

  38. We need one there because we ain't losin' at home no mo. An 'at. Walking Wainscoting was a bad idea. Zagurski from Slippery Rock did well at first, and it was Christmas Morning for Freese at third. Who was their shortstop again?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Bones8:42 PM

I too was surprised at how quickly the Cards have taught Zagurski to play 1B and swing a baseball bat. Game 1 NBD - flush it and let Cole's icy hateful stares get the win tomorrow.

I just now figured out the Zagurski reference, what a dumbass.
