Game 105 and 106: Cardinals at Pirates

Burnett and Lynn in game one of the biggest doubleheader ever. First place on the line.

  1. Beer Fort moving into position for this one. We have acquired the Glass-Lined Tanks of Old Latrobe.

  2. Almost wrecked Crown Vic taxi on beer run at end of shift, rushing to catch 7th inning. No St. Louis product was purchased.

  5. Cardinals bench toward the end of game 2 looked like airport chapel after plane crash. Such a bunch of somber Descalsos. Matheny's smoke and mirrors raided by department of weights and measures officials. Beer fort optimum temperature not disturbed. Can't think of a finer Tuesday night. Need more flags at PNC to turn it into complete psycho Italian soccer ultras type crowd. Visually, a whole section of giant flags looks amazing and can intimidate a foe like Daniel Descalso.

  7. Beer Fort Pentagon Hovercraft SpacePirateShip streaking at speed of light propelled by Stargell's ectoplasm and Cumpton's seamen. Matheny's knifery outplayed and outclassed by Hurdle's positive thought of the day. AJ needs to unleash the shaving cream pies on Descalso and other hated redbirds. WE WILL UNTUCK!

I just returned home from watching the second pistol whipping.

It appears some sort of space time disturbance has morphed the PBC into the Cardinals and vice versa.

This probably happened in the nanosecond the Beer Fort Pentagon Hovercraft SpacePirateShip jumped to light speed.

I hope minimal veteranosity if any at all is acquired before the deadline.

However, I'm paranoid NH will fix what ain't broke tomorrow.

Please no Alex Rios. Cumpton could entertain circles around Bud Norris. And so began the Tony Sanchez Era.

From the mlb story ... 35 years? ouch! but better now:

"With the nightcap victory, the Pirates swept a doubleheader from the Cards for the first time since June 28, 1978."
