Dvorchak
reports that Jose Castillo has been putting in some double-secret early infield practice. Bobby Hill outhits him, but Mac likes Castillo's glove, range, and versatility. Hill is reminding me a bit of young Marcus Giles. That's not to say that Hill has Giles' potential, but that Hill is going to have to improve his defense if he wants a big-league job. If Mac picks Castillo, look for him to hit eighth. We may have enough offense to start the better glove, especially if Craig Wilson can start hot enough to make it difficult for Mac to bench him when Bay returns.
